BlissLib is a framework to create and store custom shading networks and material presets. Renderers which support hot swapping of nodes during IPR sessions would take full advantage of the interactivity of the tool and it's Totally Free.
The tool comes with a simple UI to browse the shader library. It included several RenderMan and Mental Ray material examples which demonstrate the functionality of the tool.


BlissLib has already found its home at LollipopShaders team, who helped to make the tool as production friendly as possible. LollipopShaders used BlissLib to author their RenderMan RIS100 library. Check it out, they have a free library sample with 20 nice presets Here

Convert Animated Splines to 3D

Cineware 3.0 for Adobe After Effects CC Update

MAXON has announced a new update to Cineware (3.0) for the latest version of Adobe After Effects CC, a key component of Adobe Creative Cloud. The Cineware Live 3D pipeline first introduced in After Effects CC offers improved workflow and greater performance. OpenGL rendering is now available within the Cineware effect, providing increased speed and higher quality results than the software render option. Users can now choose to automatically sync the After Effects and Cinema 4D time sliders. The new Cinema 4D Take System, introduced in R17, the latest Cinema 4D release, is also supported: After Effects artists can now choose to render specific Takes in a Cinema 4D project file.

“We appreciate the tremendous value that MAXON adds for After Effects users around the world,” said Sue Skidmore, partner relations for Adobe Professional Video. “The latest update to Cineware for After Effects CC gives motion graphics and visual effects artists greater workflow flexibility and improved Live 3D Pipeline performance.”

After Effects users who do not own a commercial license of Cinema 4D but are interested in exploring 3D content creation as a part of their workflow still have access to Cinema 4D Lite, a light yet feature-rich version of the Cinema 4D toolset that launches directly from within After Effects CC.
